Combat trousers in current Canadian digital camouflage pattern (CADPAT). Trousers are made in Canada, by a major contractor to the Canadian Department of National Defence. Trousers are made in lightweight original nylon (50%) cotton (50%) fabric which is machine washable. Features include two expandable leg pockets, secured with button flaps; two hip pockets, slightly inset to reduce wear on the hip seam; one back pocket secured with button flap. Trousers also feature adjustment tabs on the left and right, button waist and zip fly; and drawstring ankles, drawn through rivetted reinforced metal drawstring holes. Trousers have five belt loops suitable for a one inch belt. All seams are finished with durable chain stitching, and all buttons are the popular Canadian tape button as used on all Canadian uniforms and adopted into the British Soldier 95 uniforms. Leg pockets are expandable and are designed like the German Army trouser leg pockets to be easily maintained in their original shape. CADPAT camouflage is a highly researched and most successful pattern adopted by the Canadian Armed Forces for effectiveness in temperate and sub-arctic climates, copyrighted by the Canadian Government. Front view of trousers.
View of waist button and zip fly. Note that the button is a durable Canadian tape button which is favoured in the design of some of the most highly advanced forces and adventure clothing today.
Detail showing the side adjustment tabs, belt loops and back pocket. All button down flaps are secured with Canadian tape buttons.
Detail of ankle hem, showing the drawstrings which are drawn and retracted through re-inforced metal rings. Also shown is the reverse of the material used in the manufacture of the uniforms. Note that the pattern is printed through the material, not merely screen printed onto the top, leaving the reverse side a different colour.
