British Desert DPM Osprey 40mm Grenade Pouch

The British Army issue Osprey 40mm grenade pouch is designed to fit onto the Osprey assault vest, Osprey body armour cover or any standard 25mm US MOLLE system. The pouch will hold one 40mm grenade and measures 9cm x 4cm x 4cm. The pouch lid is a wraparound type to provide side as well as top and front protection for contents. The lid opens with a 20mm quick release buckle on an adjustable length strap which acts to compress the contents as the lid is fixed and not adjustable. The lid can be double secured with a push button beneath the quick release buckle. The pouch outer is made of 1000D military Cordura, fully lined internally with rubberised tarpaulin material. The rear of the pouch is fitted with one MOLLE vertical strap which buttons down on to the body and two horizontal straps for interweaving against the MOLLE base. Holding one 40mm Grenade this pouch fits easily onto the Osprey Modular Platform. being smaller than nearly all other modular pouches they can be put on those spare loops inbetween other pouches. they also fit easily onto the Modular Loops located on the shoulders of the vest platform, from my own personal experience i have four on my shoulders, 2 on each side with the lids facing inwards for easy access and easy withdrawl of the contents. the clip on the body can be adjusted as so to make the pouch tighter on the contents. a very useful pouch. - Submitted by George Sobota
