British Desert DPM Osprey AP Grenade Pouch

The British Army issue Osprey anti-personnel or AP grenade pouch is designed to fit onto the Osprey assault vest, Osprey body armour cover or any standard 25mm US MOLLE system. The pouch will hold one frag grenade and measures 9cm x 5cm x 6cm. The interior of the pouch has a 25mm wide strap sewn onto the back for hooking the grenade handle in place. This retains the handle within the pouch in a non-exposed position and also helps to prevent excessive movement of the contents. The pouch lid is a flap type which opens with a 20mm quick release buckle. The pouch outer is made of 1000D military Cordura, fully lined internally with rubberised tarpaulin material. The rear of the pouch is fitted with two MOLLE vertical straps which button down on to the body and one horizontal strap for interweaving against the MOLLE base. The Anti-Personell grenade pouch, holds one AP Grenade for combat situations. the quick release clip on the lid of the pouch provides easy access to the contents when needed at a moments notice, one of the smaller osprey pouches but plays just as big of a role in making up the modular assault vest. one problem with these pouches is that they cant be stacked vertically when you have a limited number of module loops rows left on your vest, suggested positioning of these pouches on the Modular Vest Platform is on one of the breast areas, there two can sit easily side by side within easy reach as and when needed. does exactly what it says on the tin. - Submitted by George Sobota
