The British Army issue Osprey helmet bag or smoke grenade pouch is designed to fit onto the Osprey assault vest, Osprey body armour cover or any standard 25mm US MOLLE system. The pouch will hold the helmet cover bag, a small PMR radio, field dressing, compass or any contents within the 11-14cm x 4cm x 6cm interior. The interior of the pouch has a 25mm wide strap sewn onto the back for hooking a grenade handle, torch clip or any similar object in place. This retains the handle within the pouch in a non-exposed position and also helps to prevent excessive movement of the contents. The pouch lid is a flap type which opens with a 20mm quick release buckle with adjustable strap. The pouch is double secured with velcro which enables the lid to be closed at any position within the 7.5cm length of the velcro patch. The pouch outer is made of 1000D military Cordura, fully lined internally with rubberised tarpaulin material. The rear of the pouch is fitted with two MOLLE vertical straps which button down on to the body and one horizontal strap for interweaving against the MOLLE base.
