German Mess Kit

German Army three-piece mess tin comprising one large cooking container with handle, one small tin with handle and one small tin without handle. All pieces fit together for convenience. Made of sturdy aluminium and pressed in the traditional German Army 'kidney' shape for comfort during carrying. I have experimented with numerous mess tins/ kits over the years and cant find any faults with this set! |It is perfect for cooking on open fires! The main large mess tin is easy to suspend over the flames and to allow the heat to be varied. Its large enough to make you own fresh rabbit stew or to just heat a standard "boil in the bag" meal. The two smaller tins join together as shown to allow for easy eating when roughing it. When packed away it provides a tough protective case for valuables and/ or takes most small gas stoves and a cylinder. - Submitted by Dave B
