The flecktarn fleece jacket is made with alpine breathtex fleece which can be worn on its own as an outer jacket or as a midlayer. Breathtex fabric is a three layer laminate which sandwiches a breathable waterproof layer in between two layers of fleece to give an extremely warm and water and windproof fabric. It is used in high tech all-weather hiking, skiing and performance outdoor clothing because of its insulating properties. Breathtex fabric is also lightweight and low sound so that there is still good feedback through the fabric and no restriction on movement. The jacket features high collar with drawstring and toggle to eliminate draughts on the neck, polyester shoulder and elbow reinforcement on hard wearing areas, long central double zip with internal polyester zip baffle to reduce cold from entering via zips, underarm ventilation zips, slash waist pockets with zips on left and right, extended lower back, inbuilt elastic cuffs and lower hem to reduce draughts and the number of drawstrings or cords on the wrists and bottom of the jacket, internal waist drawstring with toggles and internal zip pocket with surmounted expandable watch pocket. In order to make the jacket mil-spec, a rank tab is provided on the right chest and a velcro patch is on the left chest for a name tape.
