The Helikon Camogrom short brim boonie hat is a multi terrain camouflage hat in the short brim style favoured by UK forces. Hat is based on the popular modifications to the standard issue UK bush hat in which the brim is cut down to approximately 1in and the crown of the hat is reduced so the hat sits high on the head, with no ventilation holes. This reduces the amount of fabric on the head where headgear such as ear protection or radio comms gear much be worn. The short brim bush hat features integrated chinstrap with toggle adjustment and a fabric band stitched around the outside of the hat for camouflage material. The boonie hat has excellent sun protection properties and is a particularly useful soft cover to shield eyes and protect the head from sudden wind and damp. Made of hardwearing Nylon Cotton Twill.
