.32 Smith and Wesson Long Inert Round Lead Head

The 32 Smith and Wesson Long or 32 Colt New Police cartridge was designed in 1896 for use in Smith and Wessons first hand-held case ejecting revolver. Designed as a personal protection calibre for a small handgun, the 32 Smith and Wesson, or .32 SW Long was easily adapted from the original black powder to smokeless powder in 1903. .32 SW revolvers, and .32 Colt revolvers became standard issue for New York City Police in the early 20th century, with the handgun and cartridge being adapted soon after in many other police departments across the North East USA. Although a very accurate round, the .32 SW Long was superseded by slightly heavier .38 Special cartridge because of its greater stopping power in personal defence. Price is for ONE round only. Round has no active ignition or propellant. Bullet head is a lead round nose. Please note that inert cartridges can only be shipped outside the UK with UPS or other courier.

Extras available for this dummy round:

An new and unindented brass cup to fit into the primer pocket to give the appearance of a new, unfired round: Small Dummy Primer
Removal of the deactivated, inert primer from the round, leaving a hole or holes in the base that can be inspected to prove the round is inert and free from explosives: Depriming of Round
