Goretex jacket, three layer laminate, in US ACU camouflage. This jacket is an import model, and features full lining, shaped and lined hood with peak, long length sleeves which close with velcro, upper right arm pocket, double chunky zipper for central closing, deep baffle with press buttons down centre to cover the central zipper and prevent rain from entering, deep slash hip pockets on left and right, internal waist baffle to prevent rain from entering from the bottom and large velcro dump pouches left and right. The goretex jacket is patterned on the US ECWS layered clothing system and is designed for wear in both wet weather and wet snow conditions. The goretex jacket has a wider body to accommodate addition of fleece and other thermal mid-layers and the sleeves are longer to allow for wear of gloves with gauntlets and other protective clothing to be worn with the jacket and reduce the possibilty of draughts and damp getting into critical areas such as the wrist. Each arm has a long underarm zipper to allow for ventilation during activity. The hood does not detach, as the jacket is designed as an overlayer for wet weather. Sizes available are M, L and XL.
Available options are: M L XL .

View of the jacket opened up. The middle layer with the elastic is the storm baffle for the waist which comes in particularly useful when skiing, crawling on the ground and other activities which may result in the bottom of the jacket riding up.
Detailed view of the dump pocket on the upper chest which opens with velcro. There is one of these on either side of the jacket.
Detailed view of the dump pocket open. There is no need to open the zipper to get to the the dump pocket, as the zipper is located closer to the body than the velcro opening to the dump pocket.
The slash pocket on the hip, with one of the sleeves pushed inside. The flap is designed to self-close to prevent water from pooling inside the pocket. The angle of the slash pocket is well suited to putting the hand inside for warmth and protection from the rain.
