British Army sleeping mag in dark olive or brown colour, used as lightweight thermal sleep base. The sleeping mat has a small valve to allow for the inflow of a small amount of air to aid with thermal properties of the spongy interior. These are slightly smaller and lighter than the traditional foam roll mat, and only cover approixmately three quarters of the length of a traditional foam roll mat at approximately 120cm x 50cm size, but allow for smaller stowage. The mat can be deflated, folded in half and rolled up for stowing in the stow bag, all of which help to reduce weight and volume. The air tightness of the valve has not been tested, so cannot be guaranteed.
