.30 Cal M1 Carbine Inert Round

The 30 cal M1 Carbine or 7.62x33 inert round is the cartridge developed for use by the US Army in the 1940s for the M1 Carbine by Winchester. The M1 Carbine was required as an alternative to the larger and heavier M1 Garand for infantry officers, paratroopers, machine gun, artillery and tank crews and support personnel. The M1 Carbine continued in service in the Korean War and to some units in the Vietnam war. The cartridge was criticised for lack of stopping power, but remains popular for sporting and re-enactment purposes. The inert round consists of a fired brass case with 110gr FMJ RN head. Heads are pressed and seated to correct depth and not hammered in place. Perfect for film, diorama, re-enactment, collecting. To restore finish, rub with metal polish or toothpaste. Please note, price is for ONE inert round. NB: All inert ammunition travelling OUTSIDE mainland UK must be shipped by international courier (eg TNT, DHL).

Extras available for this dummy round:

An new and unindented brass cup to fit into the primer pocket to give the appearance of a new, unfired round: Small Dummy Primer
Removal of the deactivated, inert primer from the round, leaving a hole or holes in the base that can be inspected to prove the round is inert and free from explosives: Depriming of Round
