The 12 bore inert shotgun shell is in a blue casing which is fitted with birdshot and a clear cover. The clear cover allows the birdshot to be visible and easily identifiable. The top of the case is roll crimped so the edges of the casing hold down the cover and the contents of the shell. The shell case is blue. The primer is a deactived, dented primer with no ignitable material within. The end cap is brass coloured . The shell has no powder within. The overall length of the cartridge is 60mm. The shotgun cartridge is true to weight for safer practice loading, especially at speed. The inert shell is a safe way of displaying deactivated arms and ammunition side by side, whether for collections, displays or film and TV use.
