The .30 US or .30 Army was used in the M1892 Springfield Rifle which had been developed by Norwegians Krag and Jorgensen. The Krag Jorgensen rifle entered military use in Denmark and Norway and the cartridge is also known as the 30-40 Krag. The 30 40 Krag was the first smokeless cartridge that entered service with the US Army and was originally fitted with a full metal jacket head. The 30-40 Krag remained in service in Denmark and Norway; but, in the USA, it was replaced in 1903 by the .30-03. The 30-40 Krag was used in M1893 Springfield rifles, and Gatling guns of later manufacture. Price is for ONE round only. To restore shiny finish, use a conventional metal cleaner or toothpaste.
