6.5 Grendel FMJ Inert Round

The 6.5 Grendel is one of the most exciting modern rounds available, with a wide range of tests, comparisons and debate ongoing over its advantages against other 6.5 rounds and standard military specification rounds. The inert 6.5 Grendel round with brass case, spent primer and FMJ bullet head. The round utilises the ballistically efficient 6.5 bullet head which is one of the calibres of choice for long range shooting. The 6.5 Grendel was developed for low recoil and high accuracy at 200 to 800 yards in the AR-15 platform and in AR-15 magazines. Its popularity has lead to a wider variety of manufacturers chambering rifles in 6.5 Grendel and platforms accepting the round now include: Zsastava Arms, Howa Tactical, Ruger American Predator among others. Its larger diameter case has capacity for a higher powder volume to push the heavier 6.5mm bullet out between 2500 fps and 2900 fps. The 6.5 Grendel round's performance is in the middle between NATO 5.56x45 and NATO 7.62x51, and the round is gaining support as a military calibre, with extensive testing underway for US Special Forces and adoption of rifles made in this calibre by Serbia. Price is for one inert, dummy cartridge, ONE round only. Product must be shipped with courier as it cannot travel with Royal Mail or standard post.

Extras available for this dummy round:

An new and unindented brass cup to fit into the primer pocket to give the appearance of a new, unfired round: Small Dummy Primer
Removal of the deactivated, inert primer from the round, leaving a hole or holes in the base that can be inspected to prove the round is inert and free from explosives: Depriming of Round
