.243 Winchester FMJ Inert Round

The .243 Winchester round is an improved round for target shooting with a ballistic curve that is flatter than the standard .308 Winchester round, even with custom loading and specialised bullet heads. It expels a 6mm calibre bullet at high power and is considered a long ranger performer for varmint hunting and larger game such as deer and antelope. The .243 Winchester is also considered a suitable substitute in certain countries where military-compatible calibres, such as .308 Winchester, are not permitted for civilian use, but where humane handling of game hunting requires the use of highly powered cartridges. The .243 Winchester was also used in the LAPD SWAT unit in its early armament. Introduced in 1955, the .243 Winchester occupies a valuable niche in civilian shooting. Price is for ONE round only. Dulled rounds can be repolished with metal polish or toothpaste. Rounds may only be shipped with courier as they are prohibited from travel on regular post.

Extras available for this dummy round:

An new and unindented brass cup to fit into the primer pocket to give the appearance of a new, unfired round: Large Dummy Primer
Removal of the deactivated, inert primer from the round, leaving a hole or holes in the base that can be inspected to prove the round is inert and free from explosives: Depriming of Round
